In 1984, I was injured in a bicycling accident.  After three years of Western medicine, which included therapy at three different PT clinics, two bone scans, an MRI.  Nothing was helping.  Finally, the sixteenth physician I saw suggested that I might find some benefit in seeing a massage therapist for my injury.  For over three years I took at loft of anti inflammatories.  Sound familiar?  Then, after ten sessions with this great massage therapist, I was cured!  My pain was gone!  That therapist helped break down the adhesions (knots) in my muscles which then helped me to reestablish movement and regain the use of my body once again.  Soon thereafter,I started my training in massage therapy and have worked full time as a therapist since 1989..

I have extensive training and practice in Deep Tissue, Lymphatic Drainage, Reflexology, Sports, Swedish, Myofacial Release, and Prenatal massage techniques. Now,  with having provided massage therapy to well over 25,000 clients.  I've melded these various modalities and experience into my own style and give, what my clients call, the 'Jay Massage'. You can trust that my hands are absolutely ready to take care of you and your individual needs!

I enjoy breaking down people's knots and adhesions in their muscles and allowing for easier movement and a more complete range of motion.  A lot of my clients are amazed that they feel better even before their first massage is over.  Numerous clients have said that the massage  felt more like therapy than massage.  Yes, I prefer doing the more therapeutic work but I do give a terrific palliative (feel good) Swedish massage as well.  I enjoy the fact that my clients do feel more comfortable within their "skinbags" when they get off the table.

Throughout my life, my hands have always been my strong suit.  My Little League coach assigned me to first base because of my good hands.  In soccer, I was coached to play goalie because of my strong, capable hands.  During my three years working as a deckhand on river towboats along the Mississippi, Illinois, and Ohio Rivers, I was promoted to First Mate because of my strong, capable, skillful hands and the ability to communicate effectively with the other deckhands.

My wife and I have been married since 1994, have a wonderful, beautiful daughter and have lived here in Indian Well since 1999.
